Texas A&M football roster predictions - DT: Shemar Turner, David Hicks (Backups: Albert Regis, Rodas Johnson)

Now, we come to the defense—and likely the strength of this Texas A&M football team. The tackles are not quite as deep, but with Shemar Turner sliding inside for the majority of his snaps, as has been reported, things will be a little better on that front.

Turner, a former five-star out of DeSoto High School, is now a senior with the Aggies. He’s flashed at times, but if he is able to take the next step in consistency, that could be huge for this unit.

At the other spot, I have David Hicks. Hicks, another former five-star, could be the best player on this team by the time the season ends—no exaggeration. His ability to impact the line of scrimmage is that potent, and we only saw glimpses of it last year.

Albert Regis will push for a lot of playing time as well, having quite a few snaps under his belt by this point. Wisconsin transfer Rodas Johnson has reportedly impressed, as Jay Bateman alluded to in his previous presser. This will be a unit of strength for the Aggies this year, without question.
