Texas A&M football ATH Terry Bussey selected to preseason freshman All-American team
The buzz over the past month around Texas A&M football’s crown jewel in the 2024 recruiting class, Terry Bussey, has been eye-catching, to say the least. Before Bussey arrived on campus, it wasn’t uncommon to hear Elko trying to temper the expectations of anyone who asked about the young star out of Timpson—but it’s notable how much that tone has changed.
Elko, of course, was trying to do right by a young guy coming into his first season of college football. The odds say that a player like that, especially a do-it-all guy for a small-town school, is going to have something of an adjustment period when coming to the next level.
The odds are one thing, but reality is another. And all indications are that the reality is Terry Bussey already has the makings of a bona fide star. Recent scrimmage rumors have it that he is set to be a big time facet of the offensive attack, and it’s all but certain he will figure in strongly to the return game as well.
These rumors are beginning to make an impact on college football media around the country, it seems—and it looks like quite a few people are listening closely. It was announced today that Bussey has been selected to the preseason freshman All-American team by On3.
This just is a further signal of the high expectations for Bussey this year. If his ability can translate immediately to the field, that could solve a lot of problems for the Aggie offense—and give them a huge boost right off of the bat. Here’s hoping he can do just that.
