Five Best NFL Prospects on the 2023 Texas A&M Football Team: LB Edgerrin Cooper

It may have come too late in Cooper's career for him to garner the accolades that were due him (cough Butkus award cough), but this past season was a real renaissance for the fourth-year linebacker out of Louisiana. What we had seen in flashes up until that point, we were finally able to see consistently over the course of the season.

Cooper was an absolute wrecking ball in 2023. He leapt off the screen whenever you watched Texas A&M football immediately, making plays like the one below with regularity:

In all likelihood, Cooper will go in the second round due to an up and down career up until this past year, as well as coming up just short of the ideal physical measurables. Even so, Cooper is the best linebacker prospect that the Aggie football team has had in recent memory, and I know he will develop into a monster in the NFL.
