Five bold predictions for Texas A&M football vs. Notre Dame: Weigman finishes with no interceptions

Conversely, this is one of the more likely predictions here. Weigman has only thrown 2 interceptions in his entire college career, as I just mentioned—both came against Miami, and neither were really his fault.

The first was right on target to a crossing Ainias Smith, but Smith slipped right after Weigman released the pass—leading to a Miami DB, who would have otherwise been behind the receiver, being in the right place at the right time. The second was a fourth down desperation throw at the end of the Miami game when there was no other play to be made.

Point being, though he’s an absolute gunslinger out there, Weigman doesn’t really put the ball in danger. With a line as disruptive as Notre Dame’s, of course, there’s always the chance of a pass getting tipped, but pressure in general has not bothered Weigman in his career.

Even though I think the Domers will have a solid pass rush in this one, Conner is one of the best in the nation at avoiding sacks. Whether or not the pocket is clean, no. 15 has shown the ability to make smart decisions time and time again—and even against an elite secondary like Notre Dame, I think he will continue that record.
