Coaching hires that will keep Texas A&M baseball on top: Link Jarrett, Florida State

Maybe the hottest name on the market for college baseball coaches right now is Jarrett. He’s coming off of a College World Series semifinal appearance with the Seminoles, and was arguably cheated out of having the advantage against Tennessee on that side of the bracket.

Jarrett has plenty of experience in Omaha, having been the coach of Notre Dame back when the Aggies were also in the College World Series two years ago. Jarrett has twice been named the National Coach of the Year due to his acumen as the Irish skipper. In his young career, he has made the College World Series in half of his overall postseason appearances.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before, though, but Jarrett is now coaching at his alma mater, which could make this one tough to swing. If nothing else, this is extremely worth taking a swing on. Jarrett could be a consummate home run hire.
