Most painful Texas A&M football transfers of all time: 4. Fadil Diggs

The sting of this one is still real. Fadil was a fan favorite among the Maroon and White faithful. A guy that always showed up ready to work and never complained, Diggs had become a guy that was hihgly productive along the defensive line.

He played through injury and tough circumstances while in College Station, but still managed to be one of the more prolific edge rushers for the Ags. His game against Alabama in 2022, though the Ags came up just short, was still the stuff of legend.

His 2023 was nothing to sniff at, either. He was one of the top players on an unbelievably dominant defensive front for the Aggies. Even after the departure of defensive line coach Elijah Robinson, most fans were of the opinion that Diggs would be staying around.

Once Elko was hired, Diggs even tweeted approvingly, furthering the feeling that he would stick around in College Station. It was a big surprise, then, when he entered his name in the portal not long after the fact.

He has now committed to Syracuse, where he will reunite with Robinson. I obviously wish him all the best, but this team would have been that much better had Fadil stuck around for the upcoming season, and I hated to see him go.
