5-star Trey McNutt gives inside look at Texas A&M football recruiting visit ahead of August 3 commitment date

One of the top targets left on the board for Texas A&M football, safety Trey McNutt, made headlines recently when he pushed back his commitment date after being scheduled to announce on July 19. This was a big deal for Aggie fans, as the common thought was that he was headed to Oregon ahead of that announcement.

Pushing that back seemed to be a boon for the Aggies; even more so when he announced that he would be visiting College Station this past weekend. With a decision imminent—McNutt plans now to announce on August 3—the Aggies seem to have clawed their way back into this one.

Ahead of that announcement, McNutt uploaded a video recapping his visit. It's an interesting watch for anyone who wants to see how these visits go. You can watch it at this link or below.

Though the video is short, we get to see some cool stuff. You can see the passion and authenticity of the members of the coaching staff who pop up—DC Jay Bateman in particular. Ish Aristide's role shouldn't be undersold, either.

It was also good to see Terry Bussey and Taurean York coming out and doing some recruiting on the Aggies' behalf as well. As far as player recruiters go, you'd be hard-pressed to find two better than that duo.

Overall, this was an insightful video. It certainly helps build the tension ahead of McNutt's commitment—the Aggies and Ducks will no doubt continue to battle it out up until that point and beyond.
