Five star TE Linkon Cure set to announce July 1; Will decide between Kansas, KSU, Oregon, and Texas A&M football

When Kiotti Armstrong committed to Texas A&M football not long ago, the Aggies secured a premier tight end for their class. They could add to that number soon, as their other top target at the position, Linkon Cure, is set to announce on July 1.

Cure, a fringe five-star prospect and the second-ranked TE in the nation behind UGA commit Elyiss Williams, will decide between Texas A&M football, Oregon, Kansas, and Kansas State. In case you couldn’t tell from that list of finalists, Cure is a native of the Sunflower State, and has been a longtime Wildcat lean.

The Aggies did a lot to pull themselves even in this race, and it was thanks a lot to the efforts of Wildcat legend Collin Klein. Klein, of course, is now the Aggies’ OC—not only is he a legend to Kansas State fans, he is also adept at his new coaching position, and just so happens to feature the TE position prominently in his system.

Cure visited College Station earlier this month for an official visit. Since that time, he has made stops at both Oregon and Kansas State for OVs as well.

Given that Cure grew up a Wildcat fan, it could be hard to dispel the grip they’ve had on this recruitment throughout. If there’s anyone who can, though, it would be the Aggies—Klein’s presence should be a big factor, and A&M can offer more in nearly every single aspect than can the Wildcats. Loyalty is a big factor too, however. We’ll just have to see how this one shakes out.
