Texas A&M football players with the most to prove in spring: Moose Muhammad
Barring some huge pickup in the transfer portal, it's not too much of an exaggeration to say that the performance of the entire wide receiving corps hangs, in a sense, on how locked in Moose is. His talent has been undeniable throughout his time in College Station, and highlight after highlight has had fans wondering why he doesn't see more time.
The answer is probably more complicated than just "Jimbo had no idea what he was doing on offense," as sympathetic as some fans may be to that sentiment. Watching Moose closely at certain times would show that, while he does the flashy and eye-catching things as well as anyone in the nation, there are other things—like blocking—for which he has a little less of a penchant for doing consistently.
Coach Elko doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who will go for sizzle over substance. Moose will have to prove himself by working hard this spring. If he does that, he can easily become one of the leading receivers not only in the conference, but the entire nation.
