What to watch in Texas A&M football's spring game: Weigman's health

QB1 is coming into this contest operating at less than 100%. Elko has mentioned this a couple of times, as have the insiders, but Weigman is currently working on getting back to full strength after a debilitating injury to his ankle in late September of last year.

Though Conner has been working with the team in fall camp, he has reportedly been less mobile than he otherwise would be. He can throw, but his ability to pull the ball down and make something happen with his legs has been absent while he recovers.

With that in mind, even though spring games are non-contact when it comes to the quarterbacks, I personally will be keeping a close eye on how this may limit things when Conner has the ball. The play calls themselves could even be different than what we see—Klein is certainly unafraid to have his signal callers run the ball.

You can't ever gauge a discomfort level with complete accuracy from so far away, but if he is still moving with extreme difficulty, it could be a concerning sign. However, he also might look as good as Aggie fans could hope for. With how important he is to this season, this will be a storyline to watch in this spring game.
