Former Texas A&M football players who may regret transferring - Raymond Cottrell
I had to pick the Kentucky logo because there is no option for West Florida, which I just heard of when I read the below tweet.
Kentucky wide receiver Raymond Cottrell is transferring to West Florida, his NIL reps @APSportsAgency tells @On3sports.

He transferred to UK from Texas A&M earlier this offseason. Former four-star. https://t.co/VNvB2Ek6qR pic.twitter.com/R5mfeVwYjF
Talk about a swift and hard fall.
Cottrell was originally committed to Georgia until flipping to Texas A&M football on signing day. His one catch last year was at the end of the ULM game for a touchdown, and the only other headline he really made was being the first player to elect to transfer upon the news of Jimbo Fisher's firing being handed down.
A native of the state of Florida, I thought Cottrell might find his way closer to home, which was why I was a bit surprised when he ended up going to Kentucky. He wasn't there for long, though, as he arrived in the winter window and departed in the spring window.

I guess things change quickly!
In reality, though, a move like this really might be what's best for a guy like Cottrell. It seems that he was having difficulty finding his place at A&M and Kentucky, so moving closer to home could help provide some stability. Hopefully, this leads to further success in the future and he can leverage that for a lengthy career. But still, going from A&M to West Florida in one offseason is going to land you on this list.
