Former Texas A&M football players who may regret transferring - Tunmise Adeleye

If you're looking at that Texas State logo quizzically, it's hard to blame you. The last many Aggies heard, Tunmise Adeleye, a former five-star from the class of 2021, was headed to Michigan State after an injury derailed what was supposed to be his breakout season in College Station.

Of course, no sooner did Adeleye arrive in East Lansing than trouble and turmoil erupted in the football program up there due to accusations that the head coach Mel Tucker was facing having to do with inappropriate conduct. Then, the staff Adeleye had committed to departs, and he's left high and dry.

He didn't really get any significant playing time for the Spartans, either. He recorded two sacks and one TFL in 157 snaps for the Green and White.

He's now back much closer to his hometown Houston. Like Cottrell, Adeleye could be a candidate for a guy who may be helped by getting back closer to home. He'll have two years left to play after taking a medical redshirt in 2022. But especially with the return of Mike Elko, you have to think that Adeleye would have benefitted from remaining in College Station in retrospect.
