Former Texas A&M football players who may regret transferring - Evan Stewart

Oregon Ducks. adfhbadfhbnadfgasdasdfasdfasdf. Evan Stewart. Evan Stewart. WR. player. . 515. .

Here I go again, saving the most controversial for last!

Yes, it's true: I think Stewart would have been better-suited to stay in College Station, all things considered. Now, based on what all has been stated about the situation since Stewart made his exit, the relationship may have been too much soured by the end of things, but I'm talking football reasons here.

Yes, the Ducks have a high-powered offense. But the predominance of bubble screens and the like in Stein's system is something that can possibly raise an eyebrow to the fan who is trying to project out the performance of a given receiver.

What's more, Stewart could be playing second fiddle in Eugene to Tez Johnson, where he would have been a clearer #1 in College Station (if you'll pardon the pun). Yes, he began to be surpassed by Jahdae Walker by the end of the season in 2023, but it's worth asking whether that may have had to do with the aforementioned souring of relationships as much as it had to do with on-field factors.

In any case, Klein's offense is a far cry from Jimbo's and I have no doubt that it would have utilized Evan's talents far better. He'll no doubt make headlines with his play, just as he did down with A&M, but I can't help but feel he would have been better off staying put.
