Injury Update: Jahdae Walker Injured for Texas A&M Football; Returns
WR Jahdae Walker Injured for Texas A&M Football; Returns After Short Scare
The hits just keep on coming for Texas A&M football. One drive after third-string quarterback Jaylen Henderson suffered a broken arm, Jahdae Walker had to exit holding his shoulder/upper arm area.
Walker has really come on strong for the Aggies in the second half of the season, announcing his emergence with a huge game against Ole Miss after an early preview of his ability versus ULM in the first part of the season.
His presence was one of the reasons I felt good about the Aggies' chances against the Oklahoma State secondary in this game. Walker has shown his ability to get open and make tough contested catches in several instances, and with Evan Stewart, Noah Thomas, and Ainias Smith all missing the bowl, he is 1b to Moose Muhammad's 1a as far as receiving options.
Luckily, Walker made his way back out to the field later on the next drive. He didn't have a target in the few plays he saw, but it was good to see him back out there. He's a player that this Texas A&M football team absolutely needs on the field if they are to have a chance of winning this game.
The Aggies currently trail the Cowboys by a score of 10-6. Henderson's injury didn't seem to demoralize the team, as they have rallied to show some impressive offensive play and chunk gains with freshman Marcel Reed at the controls.
Hopefully, Jahdae Walker is still close to 100% in this game and can showcase the impressive abilities that he has displayed all throughout the year. Texas A&M football will sure need it, if early returns are any indication.
