Texas A&M football loses Mark Nabou for the rest of the year after injury against Notre Dame
Texas A&M football exited fall camp relatively healthy, with only one season-ending injury after Rueben Owens was lost for the year after the first fall scrimmage. The other injuries of note—receiver Jabre Barber and defensive end Enai White—are both guys slated to return at some point during the season.
Unfortunately, per coach Elko in his presser today, the Aggies have another name to add to the list of those lost for the year. Mark Nabou, who started at center for the Aggies going into this past game, will not be able to return in 2024.
Mike Elko announces a big loss on the offensive line, as starting center Mark Nabou was lost for the season vs Notre Dame.

As Billy Liucci mentions in a later tweet, the Aggies still have some decent depth up front, thanks especially to a late portal addition in Kolinu'u Faaiu, out of Utah.
Faaiu was a quality starter for a tough-nosed Ute offensive line who will now slide into the middle of a new-look OL for the Aggies. Behind him is TJ Shanahan, a very promising freshman who missed last year with an injury.
After Faaiu went down with an injury briefly near the end of the game, Shanahan came in and played decently in relief. The Aggies still have a great starter in Faaiu—Elko went on to say the competition between he and Nabou went all the way up until the Thursday prior to the game—and a quality backup in Shanahan, which is encouraging.
Still, you hate to hear this for Nabou. Hopefully, he will make a full recovery and be ready for winter workouts and spring ball.
