Kyle Field rated as nation's best home field advantage via EA Sports College Football

The Home of the 12th Man is one of the most feared venues in the sport, and EA Sports College Football 25 is rating it as such.

Texas A&M football: Kyle Field is nation's best home field advantage in EA Sports College Football 25

For all the bad that Jimbo Fisher did in his waning years as the head coach of Texas A&M football, one thing he brought back was the intimidation of playing a game at Kyle Field as a highly-ranked opponent. The Aggies, for all the lowlights they've had over the past couple of years, boast an impressive record against top-10 teams at home since 2018.

It's not hard to see why. With the largest stadium in the state, not to mention the entire conference, an extremely dedicated fanbase who goes all-out for football, and a tradition like the 12th Man, the home games for the Aggies are usually packed.

Accordingly, as part of the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 game, the home of the Aggies is the top dog when it comes to home field advantage.

This drew some backlash, as you might expect whenever something positive about the Aggies comes out. I myself don't necessarily agree with everything on this list; I think Bryant-Denny is too high and that both Jordan-Hare and Williams-Brice should be included.

There's a lot of this that's subjective, but one poster on Reddit attempted a data-driven analysis of the relevant factors. Guess which venue came in first again? That's right: the Home of the 12th Man.

I remember the photos making the rounds from the UMass game in 2022, where the stadium looked rather bare for a noon kickoff with a 3-7 Texas A&M football team facing off with a moribund Minutemen squad. The remarkable thing is how seldom something like that occurs for the Aggie fanbase—something that's not the case for every in-state school.

Hopefully, the homefield advantage will be in full effect this season, as most of the Aggies' difficult games are at home in 2024. Win two or three of those, and you'll be in playoff contention.
