Noah Thomas burns Arkansas defenders to give Texas A&M football an early TD
Noah Thomas makes a huge play early against Arkansas to put Texas A&M football on the board in Arlington
Texas A&M football fans have been waiting for Noah Thomas to break out basically since he stepped foot on campus. At 6’6” and possessing track speed, he seems like a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.
And while we’ve seen flashes out of big no. 3, he hasn’t made very many eye-catching plays to begin to show himself as a true top option for an offense. That inconsistency has made some fans decide to give up on him altogether.
If you’re one of those fans, though, you may have sold way too early. Thomas is cooking early against the Arkansas Razorbacks.
After Taylen Green found Isaac TeSlaa deep downfield against the Aggie defense on the first drive, both teams went three and out. After that, though, Marcel Reed and the A&M offense made a huge play of their own, courtesy of Thomas.
Great recognition by Reed to find Thomas downfield after a game last week where he struggled to be accurate with his deep passing. And let’s not ignore Noah’s ability to make a move in the open field here to get by that first defender—and then his pure speed taking it to the house.
Many, including myself, had this as a knock-down, drag-out fight between these two teams. However, these two explosives early in the game may give this one a completely different complexion. Things are all tied up here in Arlington early on.
