Texas A&M football fans are breathing a sigh of relief after just escaping a win at home against Bowling Green.
There were plenty of guys who should get credited for this win, and this victory showed the exact definition of teamwork all-around.
However, there was plenty of frustration for Mike Elko and the Aggies throughout the game, which made for some interesting reaction afterwards.
Here's what Elko and others said on the head scratching win over the weekend.
Mike Elko on gaffes during game
"It was a lot. Defensively, we bust the coverage to start the second half to kind of get them going. We did a horrible job managing the tight end all night. Offensively, it was just so choppy at times. We didn't finish drives in the red zone. So many levels of frustration."
Mike Elko on offensive line
“We still ran the ball for 234 yards. It didn't feel like we played poorly on the offensive line, certainly feel like we can do better."
Mike Elko on getting Marcel Reed settled down
"At times, he did the things we needed him to do, at times he didn't." It's not just him. When you talk about settling him down, it's across the board. We got to make sure we're getting the right calls against the right looks, sometimes that's the quarterback, sometimes that's the line."
Mike Elko on Conner Weigman's status
"He's still just dealing with the pain of that shoulder injury. We didn't feel like it was the right thing to try and go back through the same process again."
Nic Scourton on struggling second half performance
"I just think we got loose. Going against a team like this, a very skilled team, obviously they're in the (MAC Conference). I think some guys got loose."
Nic Scourton on holding teams to less than 100 yards rushing
"We got to stop the run. Our coaches challenge us, and we're getting better every week."
Ar'Maj Reed-Adams on maintaining intensity
"It just got a little loose at the end. We kept the same intensity all week. Things don't change because we won one road game, so we just got to do better and finish."
Ar'Maj Reed Adams on run blocking
"It was ugly at times just because they had more than us than we can handle in the box. They had eight at all times, so we just had to block who we could block and let our running backs be who they are."
