Power ranking the SEC after Media Days: #1 Georgia Bulldogs

. . Previous ranking: 1. 527. ugga. . . . . 1

Who would have guessed it would be the Bulldogs atop this list? Not me. This came as a complete surprise to me, the man who wrote the list. I’m finding it out along with you, right now.

We all know the kind of hype that Carson Beck has been getting at the quarterback position for the Bulldogs. But they are now Brock Bowers-less, and, uh, McConkey-less, which has to worry some Bulldog fans.

But the good news is that they still have guys like Dominic Lovett and Rara Thomas in their receiving core. And apparently this Oscar Delp is supposed to be pretty good at tight end himself.

The defense is what you would expect. It doesn’t really matter who’s playing for them, if Kirby is coaching, they will be nigh-impossible to crack on that side of the ball, though they’ll be tested versus Alabama, Texas, and Tennessee.

Look, Georgia has earned the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the rebuild versus reload thing. Until proven otherwise, I will consider them perennially sickeningly stuffed with talent. Unless they lose to Clemson, I guess.
