Power ranking the SEC after week 5: #2 Georgia

The Bulldogs looked the part of a complete pretender in the first half against the Crimson Tide this past week. Then, Carson Beck caught fire.

Of course, it wasn’t enough. After the Bulldogs took a lead in an insane fourth quarter, the Tide took it right back one play later. UGA continued their offensive aptitude, though, driving the length of the field and looking like they’d tie things up—until Beck threw an end zone interception to end the game.

But as several have mentioned, this looks like it’s only round one of at least two games between these teams—and maybe three. So while Georgia faded in this one, how certain are we that they are the worse team?

Well, despite the furious comeback, Alabama definitely looked like they were more dominant throughout the day. But if you’re a Bulldogs fan, you can take solace in the fact that, despite being a -3 in turnover margin and being on the road, you only lost due to a late touchdown, and were right in position to win at the end of the game.
