Power ranking the SEC after week 5: #10 - Missouri

Mizzou stays static in this week’s rankings while they are on a bye. The Tigers began the year up in the top group, but after some really unimpressive and uninspired performances against teams with far inferior talent and prospects for this year, they’ve dropped quite a bit.

Still, though, this is a team that is really dangerous. Brady Cook and Luther Burden form an intimidating tandem that can make magic happen down the field when given the opportunity; it just hasn’t often come against their opening few opponents.

The Tigers struggled with Boston College and Vanderbilt, going to overtime against the latter squad. BC was thought to be a decent team after defeating FSU, but barely squeaked by Western Kentucky this week (while FSU was blown out by SMU, of all teams).

The alarm lights are on and flashing brightly for Missouri ahead of their trip down to College Station this week. The no. 9 by their name could be one of the shakiest rankings in the entire top 25, given what they’ve actually accomplished so far.
