Week six was a completely topsy-turvy slate in the SEC. Here's who rose and who fell following all the action this weekend.

Power ranking the SEC after week 6: #12 - South Carolina

The Gamecocks came out completely flat this past weekend against Ole Miss. I had this one pegged as a possible upset pick given how well the Gamecocks acquitted themselves against LSU, the fact that it was at home, et cetera.

Well, the Rebels made pretty quick work of Shane Beamer’s crew. This one looked like it was pretty much over and done with from the point when Carolina attempted a fake punt on the first drive of the game, deep within their own territory. Ole Miss capitalized to score only a few plays later—and if they had not scored again after that point, they still would have won.

SC managed only a field goal for the rest of the game. LaNorris Sellers never looked comfortable and Rocket Sanders couldn’t really get going.

The Carolina defense did their part, holding Ole Miss to far below their normal output—just like Kentucky did. But the offense for the Gamecocks was simply disjointed the entire day. With a trip to Tuscaloosa looming, this could be a long couple of weeks for South Carolina.
