Power ranking the SEC after week 6: Aggies continue ascent, others slide after upsets

Week six was a completely topsy-turvy slate in the SEC. Here's who rose and who fell following all the action this weekend.

Power ranking the SEC after week 6: #11 - Missouri

The Tigers looked absolutely horrendous this week. The talent on their team is evident, but they could do nothing at all against one of the top defenses in the SEC.

Their own defense, highly-touted coming into the game for how few explosives they had surrendered, looked hapless against a QB making his first start in almost a month. They didn’t do much to halt the ground game, either, as the Aggies went for over 6 yards per carry.

So, is Missouri way overrated, or are the Aggies one of the best teams in the nation? Well, the Tigers beat Vandy… which apparently Alabama can’t even do!

In all seriousness, we know the talent on this team is still considerable, but for one reason or another, they’re playing near their floor right now. They have a big get-right game this weekend against UMass (in Amherst, somehow) before they return to the SEC gauntlet. They have a lot to figure out, and pretty quickly.
