We're beginning to get a much better idea of who some teams are, but some SEC football teams remain shrouded in mystery.

Power ranking the SEC after week 4 - #12: Kentucky Wildcats

528. Previous ranking: 11. . 12. . . b. . . team

The Cats, fresh off of a close loss to UGA, hosted OU, and won decisively.

Ohio University, not Oklahoma. Sorry.

Anyway, Stoops’s squad looked… fine. They put up their highest-scoring game of the year and held the Bobcats to only 6 points. That’s about what you’re supposed to do against a team like that.

However, they won’t get more than one down week in a row here. This week, the Cats make the journey down to Oxford to square off with the Ole Miss Rebels, who continue to make opposing teams look silly week after week.

I’m still unconvinced, despite coming so close to toppling UGA, that this is a team that can hang with the elite of the conference. More often than not, too, I think they lose to the middle class of the SEC (see the South Carolina debacle). That’s why I have them still so low—they’ll have to prove more before getting a boost.
