SEC win projections — Florida: 5.5

Hoo, boy. The Gators are facing an absolutely dastardly schedule in 2024. After an extremely lackluster 2023, and losing many big contributors, I feel confident that the under for their win total will be one of the more popular bets of the offseason.

The Gators have scheduled all of Miami, UCF, and FSU in the non-conference. At the moment, 9 of the 12 teams on their schedule are ranked in the preseason top 25. Samford will be an easy win, but that might be the only light week on the schedule.

I’m honestly considering whether it’s more likely for the Gators to exceed 5.5 wins or fall short of 3.5. Samford, UCF, and at Mississippi State are the only unranked opponents on the schedule (and one of them is an FCS team).

I don’t think I need to give much more justification for my UNDER prediction here. Could be a rough year for Gator fans.
