Shemar Stewart several times this season was just steps away from a huge play. Whether it was a sack in the bowl game or against Alabama, big #4 is clearly right on the verge of breaking out, and I feel sure he is another defensive player who is a strong candidate to take that step this next year.

The scary part? His biggest play this year was one of the splashiest of the season. The scoop and score against Mississippi State was a perfect moment on a perfect night of Texas A&M football; Aggie fans and players didn't know it yet, but it was the last game that Jimbo Fisher would coach in College Station. Yet, it was one of the most dominant of his tenure.

It's not just the physical dominance and close calls with big plays that makes me think Stewart will be one of the higher-rated guys on the roster.
