Texas A&M football is preparing for to be on the road for the first time this season.

The Aggies are coming off a huge win against McNeese, but now, the Aggies are getting set for conference play for the first time this season.

Coach Mike Elko had plenty to say about this week's opponent, the Florida Gators, as well as his own team. After one good week and one bad week, this upcoming game will be a real test—especially for, as Elko touched on, the rush defense for this Aggie team.

Here's what head coach Mike Elko had to say in this week's press conference.

Mike Elko on the scenery of "The Swamp"

"Going to be a very difficult environment Saturday to go down into to the swamp, one of the toughest places to play in this conference."

Mike Elko on growth of Amari Daniels

"I think Amari has always been a really talented ball carrier. I think he's always been a kid who's really good with the ball in his hands."

Mike Elko on preparing for communication in road game

"We're an SEC program, we're going to have to this, we're going to have to win games on the road. Some of those different mechanics, we've already been working and practicing."

Mike Elko on run defense

"The challenging thing with run defense is one breakdown from everybody becomes a problem. There's been times where the linebackers' angles and fits haven't been as clean has you would've liked."

Mike Elko on pressuring QB's

"I've been happier with the pass rush than the stats would lead you to believe. We hit (Riley Leonard), I think he was a really difficult quarterback to sack. I think the sacks will come."
