Ranking 2024 SEC Schedules, from Easiest to Hardest
SEC 2024 Schedules: 5th Toughest - LSU
The transition year following a departing Heisman winner in Jayden Daniels won't be an easy one for the Tigers. Many are high on Garrett Nussmeier's potential, but he'll be put through the fire early and often. The Tigers get a break by facing Vandy in their conference slate, but they square off with both USC and UCLA in the non-conference.
The Tigers will make their first trip to Columbia, South Carolina since 2008 in week 3, before hosting the Bruins and then the South Alabama Jaguars in week 5. They get a bye ahead of welcoming in Ole Miss for what will likely be the second-biggest game of the year for the Rebs, following up that one with a two-game road trip to Fayetteville and College Station.
That's a scheduled loss for the Tigers (likely on the back end) but they'll get a bye before hosting Alabama. It's tough to imagine that this won't be the biggest game of the year for the Tigers, and they do get a bit of a scheduling favor here by having this precede a trip to Florida (who, again, I project to be quite bad next year and likely in a coaching transition by this point).
They close by hosting Vanderbilt and OU, with that last game being one of the most interesting of rivalry weekend. The Sooners have never visited Baton Rouge, so that'll be a great way to welcome the fans to the SEC officially.
