SEC 2024 Schedules: 13th Toughest - Texas

A nice welcome to the SEC moment for the Longhorns is the breeze of the schedule the conference bestowed upon them. Though the Horns play UGA, they do get them at home (not saying too much given the normal gameday environment there, but definitely preferable to playing in Athens).

The hardest thing about their schedule is that they play Oklahoma and Georgia back to back, but they have a bye week to prepare for those games. An early-season trip to Michigan is probably the toughest OOC game anyone in the conference plays (pending who may or may not return for the Wolverines), but they get that one between Colorado State and UT-San Antonio.

The Horns also get Vanderbilt on their schedule, as well as a visit from Florida, who in all likelihood will be in the middle of a coaching change. It could be challenging to go up to Arkansas, but the Razorbacks are also in administrative turmoil.

Hosting Kentucky is a "whatever" game, too, but closing the season in College Station will also be a tough ask. This projects as 8 or 9 wins, with a few more "gimme" games than the average schedule.
