Ranking Texas A&M football's wins over Arkansas since joining SEC: 2018 (24-17)

You could pretty much copy and paste most of my comments about the last game and apply them to this one. This was early in both Morris’s and Fisher’s tenures, and the teams were headed in exact opposite directions.

Aggie fans thought this one had a chance to be a blowout early on when Jashaun Corbin took the opening kickoff back for a touchdown; even more so when the Aggies led 17-0 early in the second quarter. Yet, an ensuing punt-fest allowed the Hogs to slowly gain ground until a late touchdown made it a one-score game.

Arkansas actually had the ball late and was driving to tie this one up—or possibly go ahead with a two-point play to give Chad Morris an early signature win in the SEC. However, the old adage of “put the ball in Ty Storey’s hands” did not end up paying off for the Hogs, as he tossed an interception to Donovan Wilson to effectively end the game.

The Aggies let off the gas way too early in this one, and it ended up in frustration for the Maroon and White. But not a loss! The streak continued.
