Ranking Texas A&M football's wins over Arkansas since joining SEC: 2023 (34-22)

This may shock you, but this game was never as close as this final score indicated. It was some late long bombs by KJ Jefferson that got the Hogs their last six points.

Even though A&M was dominating the game, holding a run-heavy Arkansas offense to 1.1 yards per carry, it was still only a four-point game after halftime. The A&M offense was unable to move the ball effectively.

It didn’t matter, however, as the Ags scored on an Ainias Smith punt return and a Chris Russell pick-six to salt away the win. Like I said, a late bomb by Jefferson, one of 9 completions he had on the day, pushed the Hogs up to a closer number when they punched it in the end zone, but this game was decided well beforehand.

Of course, the offensive issues for the Aggies lingered, and the Hogs finished at a dismal 4-8, so this isn’t a pleasant game to look back upon for either team. The Aggies did register 7 sacks on the day, though, which is pretty cool!
