Ranking all 11 of Texas A&M football's wins over Arkansas since joining the SEC
Ranking Texas A&M football's wins over Arkansas since joining SEC: 2015 (28-21, OT)
The first of three overtime games on this list is probably the least exciting one. The Aggies rolled into Arlington as big favorites, boasting their ill-fated two-quarterback system that paid off for them in this matchup.
Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray both had big moments in this game, as did sophomore star Myles Garrett. Christian Kirk, then a freshman, made the first of several huge plays he would be responsible for in this series when he caught a touchdown in overtime to give the Ags the lead.
Maybe the most important play, though, was the two-point conversion late in the game. With the Hogs leading 21-13, A&M scored a touchdown in the waning moments of the contest, and Kyle Allen laid a beautiful ball in to Josh Reynolds to tie it at 21.
Of course, it wouldn’t be A&M-Arkansas without some kind of mishap on the part of the Hogs, so a long field goal that would have given Arky the win was pushed wide by the Razorbacks’ kicker. The touchdown to Kirk in the ensuing overtime put the Aggies up 7, and a beautiful pass break up by Devante Harris sealed the win for A&M.
