Reacting to Every Game on the 2024 Schedule for Texas A&M Football

The 2024 SEC schedules have finally been released, and we now have dates for every single game Texas A&M football will play in the upcoming football season. Mike Elko's squad will be facing the first year since the Aggies joined the SEC that they won't see the Alabama Crimson Tide—a welcome change, I'm sure, for Aggie fans.

As the Maroon and White faithful well know, the Crimson Tide are the only thing that kept them from an SEC title game appearance in 2020. LSU played that role back in Johnny's first year, preventing the Aggies from heading to Atlanta—and possibly a BCS title game berth had they defeated Georgia in that one.

All that to say, I'm not sure the Aggie fanbase will lose too much sleep over the fact that they won't be facing off against Nick Saban's squad next season. What's more, we've known for a while that the Aggies won't be playing the Georgia Bulldogs next season, either. Avoiding both of these teams while you're breaking in a new coach—and hopefully seeing one full season of Conner Weigman and some of the 2022 class coming into their own as juniors—is a huge boon for Texas A&M football.

That said, the Aggies will still have some marquee matchups next season, especially at home. Chief among these, of course, is the renewal of the long-dormant (at least, on the field) rivalry between Texas A&M football and the Longhorns. But when will these two teams face off? When will the Aggies see LSU, Arkansas, and other familiar foes? Who else do they draw that they may not have seen in a while? Let's jump in and react to each team the Aggies will face and their placement on the schedule.
