C Tier: Out of the Dance

13. Missouri | NET Ranking: 124

It will take some real work for the Tigers to move themselves back up into tournament consideration, if they are able to at all. Mizzou entered conference play at 8-5, and have lost six straight to fall to 8-11. Barring a completely unforeseen turnaround or Cinderella run in the conference tourney, they are likely out of contention for the Big Dance.

12. Arkansas | NET Ranking: 117

This was likely the most shocking fall of the year. Eric Musselman’s group entered the season with high expectations that they, simply put, have utterly failed to fulfill. Against Texas A&M basketball, it looked like the Hogs may have figured something out in the opening minutes; they ended up barely holding on despite losing what was at one point a 20-point lead to one of the worst shooting teams in the conference.
