Six questions about Texas A&M football's matchup against Arkansas with Austin Farmer of Razorbackers

Every once in a while, the fraternity of common status as Fansiders can trump the near-fanatical devotion to Texas A&M football that we here on this site have. At certain points in life, you have to recognize that you actually do have something in common with the guy wearing a different color shirt, even though you really hate his shirt.

Now, I don't harbor near the animus for the Arkansas Razorbacks that I do for some teams, but they're a rival nonetheless. Even so, I have managed to remain civil for long enough to carry out this informative Q&A with Austin Farmer of our sister site, Razorbackers.

So let's jump in with a sneak peek behind enemy lines!

Gig 'Em Gazette: What do you think is the biggest advantage Arkansas has over A&M in this matchup?

Farmer: The running game has to be the biggest advantage Arkansas has over Texas A&M. The entire point of Arkansas’s ground game is to make their opponent wrong. They do a lot of read options to catch defenders out of place, and it wouldn’t be possible without who they have in the backfield.

Ja’Quinden Jackson is one of the most complete backs you’ll see all season. He can catch, he can juke people out, and he can be a bruiser when needed. Initially, he was committed to Texas as a quarterback out of high school, so he’s exceptionally gifted at reading presnap defense. Beside him is quarterback Taylen Green, who is deceptively fast with a 6–foot–6–inch frame. Both can break off huge runs at any moment.
