Taurean York is not messing around when it comes to the rivalry between Texas A&M football and Texas

If you were to ask any Texas A&M football fan for a short list of their favorite current Aggie players, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who doesn't have Taurean York in their top group. This man has basically been an Aggie legend since he signed with A&M. This came after a video went viral of him getting emotional talking about his story heading up to signing with the Aggies.

Since he's stepped on campus, too, everything he's done has reified the notion that this guy is a major plus for the program and the ultimate diamond in the rough. I'm not just talking about on-the-field stuff, either; there's a reason York's teammates selected him as a captain while he's just a sophomore.

This is a guy who embodies the Aggie spirit. I truly believe he loves this school just like the fans do—which you can't really say about every player, as much as we would like to imagine that you could. This quote today is another example of that.

Asked about whether he talks to anyone on the Texas roster, York was very matter-of-fact.

"I don't talk to anybody from Texas because it's that personal to me."

Taurean York

Stitch that on a pillow.

Look at this man. Never stops smiling, moves right along. Just the way it is.

This is a guy who gets the rivalry. This is a guy who gets what it's about to be an Aggie. It's hard to imagine that there will be anyone on Kyle Field on November 30th who won't be locked in, but I can't imagine that anyone will be more locked in than #21 on the Aggie defense. And that will be a scary sight for the Texas Longhorns.
