One of the headlines of the day yesterday was rising junior safety Jacoby Mathews announcing his intention to enter the transfer portal. This was odd for a couple of reasons: the spring portal window doesn't open for more than a month, and Mathews was slated to start at safety this year. We examine why it might be that he chose now to announce his intentions.
Texas A&M basketball lost another game, this time by an embarrassing margin. Tennessee got their revenge up on Rocky Top, and more than repaid the Aggies for a blowout in the reverse direction at Reed Arena. Where do the Aggies go from here?

Baseball has won its first two games with Wagner. After a trouncing in the first game, this second contest was much closer, but the Aggie pitching continues to demonstrate their improvement under new pitching coach Max Weiner. This game also featured what very well could be an unorthodox psychological warfare tactic by the Aggies:

Speaking of diamond-based sports, how about the softball team? Coach Trisha Ford has the Aggies ranked 17th and on a 12-game win streak. This could be a great season in both Olsen and Davis if Aggie baseball and softball are able to keep this pace up.
