Texas A&M baseball, ready to compete for 2025 College World Series, sets date for first exhibition game of the year
This is the most energized and active the Texas A&M baseball fanbase has been in recent memory—perhaps, ever. After the less-than-gracious departure of Jim Schlossnagle, the Aggies, instead of folding up shop or fading away, focused in. The fanbase came that close to a national championship—they weren't about to just walk away like some.
The hire of Michael Earley has turned out to be an absolute home run of a move. The Aggies retained every single significant portal piece, and have added more than their fair share on both offense and defense through the transfer ranks. This may be an even more deep and talented team than the Aggies had last year—and that 2024 squad looked to have lapped the historical competition at A&M.
Now, a date has been set for fans to get their first look at the highly-anticipated 2025 iteration of the Aggies. According to Ryan Brauninger of Texags, the Aggies are set to host the University of Houston on October 25th—the day before Texas A&M football takes on LSU in College Station.
LSU is, of course, always one of the best-attended home games on the slate for Aggie fans. You can bet, then, that Blue Bell will be absolutely packed out with people who have already made travel plans to see the football team on that Saturday. A resurgent Olsen Field, back in full force after a memorable Super Regional last year, will only stoke the fires of anticipation for this upcoming Texas A&M baseball season.
I don't know about you, but I, for one, am almost as excited to see this lineup take the diamond as I am to watch the Aggies put toe to leather in Kyle. This is truly a national championship-level baseball team, and I can't wait to see them begin their hunt for a trophy.
