Texas A&M football vs. Arkansas Razorbacks (Dallas, TX)
Is it bad that I typed out this entire article before realizing that I left off the Arkansas game? Maybe that just speaks to how I and most Aggie fans have thought of the Hogs since joining the SEC: very seldom.
As most college football fans know, this has been quite the one-sided series since the Ags made their debut in the conference. A&M has only lost one game to the Hogs since 2012, a decisive 20-10 victory in 2021 that really wasn’t even that close.
That said, the Aggies keep finding ways to beat Arkansas when they really shouldn’t. Even in the dreadful 2022 season, the Ags beat the Hogs thanks to the most improbable pair of events I’ve seen coupled in one football game in quite some time. Whatever malevolent entity has cursed the Razorbacks must have been really laughing when that kick bounced off of the top of the upright.
I’m not sure the fortunes will turn around for the Hogs here. They do have Bobby Petrino now, but all that really means is that their offensive line will not know who to block. That’s bad news when you’re going up against Elko and this defensive personnel.
Taylen Green or no Taylen Green, the Aggies win this one to move to 5-0—and 12-1 against Arkansas since joining the conference.
