Missouri Tigers using whatever they can to get motivated against Texas A&M football, and it's a little strange

There's little doubt that Texas A&M football and Missouri is one of the biggest games on the docket this weekend. It's the only ranked matchup on the weekend slate, for one thing, and it is huge for both teams' seasons going forward.

It shouldn't be too hard to get excited for this one if you're a fan on either side, I mean. Much less if you're a player on either team; as I mentioned, this is a highly consequential game for both sides, and could be determinative for the rest of the season.

So when Theo Wease, a receiver for the Missouri Tigers, posted this to his Instagram story last night, it seemed to be a case of some major trash talk from A&M's Will Lee.

An A&M blanket from a cornerback nicknamed "the blanket" for his coverage skills, along with a note that reads "Get used to this blanket... it will be real tomorrow."

Great smack talk, right? Or was it something else?

Oh. I... guess it wasn't from Lee. So who sent it?

Well, Texas A&M football fans had some very definite ideas about who might be behind this "motivational tactic."

That's right. Fans are saying that this was an inside job. The call is coming from inside the building, folks.

Eli Drinkwitz definitely has something of a reputation for being a little bit corny at times, so this could line up with something he would think is effective. That's just conjecture, though.

Whether or not it was the head man for Missouri, it appears it definitely wasn't Lee—and therefore it would be extremely odd for it to be anyone on the A&M side attempting to speak for him. Maybe it's a prank by a third party, but I doubt it.

Whatever gets you motivated, I guess!
