Texas A&M football: Aggies predicted to land LB/EDGE Max Granville by national expert

Texas A&M football has been heating up on the recruiting trail recently. With spring football now behind us, Elko and his staff have turned their attention to the high school ranks, turning up the pressure on some of the priority recruits in the class of 2025.

This past weekend, the Aggies picked up a commitment from top-150 CB Cobey Sellers. This was a bigtime win over incoming conference rivals Texas and OU on the trail, and Longhorn and Sooner fans were not very happy about it. Although, if you check the Facebook comments from the post about it, you'd see many of them insisting that—since he committed elsewhere—they weren't recruiting him. Funny how that works!

If you read that fan reaction post all the way through, you would have seen the following tweet at the bottom:

That's a tweet from Billy Granville, father of Max Granville, who is in the photos with recent Aggie commit Cobey Sellers. Max is a linebacker/edge rusher from Fort Bend Christian Academy down in Houston, where Sellers used to play with him.

Ranked as the 164th prospect in the composite, Granville has been one of the Aggies' top targets for quite some time. An extremely productive player at Fort Bend Christian, Granville had been an OU lean for a while, but Sellers's commitment—along with the tireless effort from the Aggie staff—felt like it might sway things.

Now, it looks like that momentum is reaching a tipping point. Steve Wiltfong of On3 has logged a prediction for Texas A&M football to land Granville.

This would be another impressive get for the Aggies. To turn back the OU momentum on two recruits in a row and bring them into the fold would be a pretty big move. Granville would be a quality add for the Aggies along the defensive front. Let's hope this prediction comes true!
