Texas A&M football receives predictions for WR target coming off of Longhorn visit

It looks like one of the state’s best WRs, who has seen what both programs have to offer, could be leaning towards Texas A&M football.

Texas A&M football receives predictions to land WR target in key recruiting battle with Longhorns

Texas A&M football is building an extremely impressive class thus far in the 2025 cycle. The Aggies have all but wrapped up an OL class that is only missing one elite piece, are well on their way to a top-shelf group of defensive backs, and look to have the quarterback of the future committed in Husan Longstreet.

The offensive skill talent for the Aggies has been a bit of a slower roll thus far. Though they have RB Deondrae "Tiger" Riden committed, the Ags have yet to pick up a verbal from any wide receivers, though they are in the mix for several elite names. They do have an elite TE committed in Kiotti Armstrong, who announced for the Aggies four days ago.

Texas A&M football is looking to make some moves here quickly on that front, however. The Ags have been in constant communication with guys like Linkon Cure and Kaliq Lockett, and now it seems that they may be on the verge of landing a big in-state battle over the Longhorns.

Kelshaun Johnson, a speedy, four-star receiver out of Hitchcock, Texas, was a Longhorn lean for quite some time. After visiting the Aggies recently, however, it looks like the Ags may have pulled even. Now, coming off his official to Austin, Texas A&M may have seized control of this recruitment.

This looks to be a classic case of the Longhorns blowing their chance to reverse the momentum the Aggies have in this one, which swings things even further in a Maroon direction. The Aggies stand to gain a big commitment here if this comes to pass, as Johnson is a very quick, very shifty slot-type of receiver that can add explosiveness to any offensive scheme.
