Texas A&M football has had their fair share of trouble so far in this recruiting cycle when it comes to top-shelf receivers.
Though the Aggies are currently ranked in the top-10 of all recruiting classes for the upcoming season, they have yet to pull in a big, five-star type name.
Of course, the Aggies' current commitments—Kelshaun Johnson and Tristan Norman—should not be slept on. Both were good takes and will provide a lot of value for this receiver room.
But if we're talking the kind of day one contributor, five-star, big time name—the Aggies have yet to snag one. However, they're in the thick of it for one remaining guy that fits that bill—and he is reportedly set to visit campus for the Notre Dame game.
Five-star receiver prospect Jerome Myles reportedly set to visit Texas A&M football for Notre Dame game
The former Ole Miss commitment at receiver has been a top priority for the Aggies as of late, and with an October 30 date set for him to announce his college decision, getting him on campus for a game of this magnitude is huge.
The Aggies are right in the thick of it for his high school quarterback—a four-star prospect from the class of 2026—as well, and that can only help things when it comes to these kinds of recruitments.
Myles boasts speed and size that would catch the eye of any receivers coach in America. His ability is well-deserving of his five-star designation—this is the kind of guy that would anchor a class (and position room) for several years to come.
The Aggies have some work to do to land the plane here, as Myles has been predicted to the in-state Utah Utes. However, getting him to College Station is a step in the right direction for the Aggies.
