Another huge visitor confirmed for Texas A&M football's early June recruiting weekend; Aggies shaping up for seismic recruiting moves
I wrote an article yesterday detailing how the first weekend of June, the 6th through the 8th, will be perhaps the most important of the year for Texas A&M football when it comes to the recruiting trail. Name a top target for the Aggies who we've heard a lot of buzz about recently, and there's a good chance he will be on campus on that weekend.
You can click on the link above to see the full list of top-100 names that have made their intentions to visit campus that weekend known publicly. Suffice it to say, the talent level that will make their way to College Station will match up favorably with even the biggest events that Jimbo was ever able to put on in Aggieland.
Now, that pool of names looks like it will be adding yet another huge fish. 5-star Kaliq Lockett, one of the best receivers in the state of Texas and, indeed, the whole nation, has confirmed that he will be on campus with the Aggies that weekend.
Lockett was originally slated to visit Southern California on that weekend. With the big moves the Aggies had been making in this recruitment recently, however, it seemed like just a matter of time before Elko and company wedged their way onto the high-profile receiver's calendar.
As you might imagine, Southern Cal fans were not exactly thrilled about this.
From the outside looking in... Ah, well.
As I've said, this is yet another addition to a huge recruiting weekend. If Texas A&M football is able to get a few of these big names over the finish line during that time or in the immediate aftermath, this could be a massive summer in College Station with regards to recruiting. With another top-100 target set to announce at the end of that month, we know one announcement is coming down the pike—hopefully his will be one in a line of huge pickups for the Aggies.
