Scrimmage rumors beginning to leak about impressive showings from Texas A&M football on offense

We are only thirteen days away from the first game of the 2024 season for Texas A&M football, which means I am getting desperate for the games to actually be played. In said desperation, I have perhaps done what each of us has at times when the wait for Aggie football seems just too long to bear: come across positive, unsourced internet rumors and believed them with all my little heart.

Of course, we do get notes like these from the scrimmages from player's parents (this one from Tristan Jernigan's mother):

That's good to get the hype juice flowing, even if it is... not at all detailed!

However, following the scrimmage today, we got some very detailed notes! Or, at least, that seems to be the case. Maybe more accurately, there is a tweet being passed around Aggie circles that purports to have some very interesting notes from the scrimmage.

So, two things: first, scrimmage notes probably don't actually matter that much in the grand scheme of things (even though we all have our ears perk up at the idea), and two, there's no way of verifying if this guy actually has an inside source. However, we do know that there are people out there who knew about the Rueben Owens injury before it was officially announced. So, I guess, take all this with a huge grain of salt.

Okay, there's a third thing. The account is named "aggie poot". There's really no way around that fact.

Alright. Here it is.

If you read "headtap" and wonder what it means, think "mossed," by the way.

For whatever it's worth, one of the accounts that seemed to know what was up with Owens's injury before it was announced seems to have confirmed that Bussey is not only playing offense in a more full-time role, but is really flashing. Others are praising the play of him and Weigman especially.

I guess I don't want to dedicate too much energy to sober analysis of this, as it may all be made up in the first place. But there are a lot of people claiming to have sources who have all been similarly impressed by the Aggies' improvement on offense from scrimmage one to scrimmage two, which is the jump we were hoping to hear them make.

Maybe some of these details are wrong. Maybe they're all right on target. Either way, to read the tea leaves (and some chatter on the forums from others purporting to be in the know), it seems like things are trending in a very positive direction for the Aggies—especially on offense.
