Texas A&M football will host 5-star LB and priority target Jonah Williams for next weekend's spring game

Coming off of a huge recruiting day yesterday, Texas A&M football fans are in for some more great news on the trail. One of the highest-priority targets for the Aggies in the state—which is saying a lot, given the level of talent in Texas this year—is Galveston LB Jonah Williams, who just confirmed that he will be in College Station come Saturday.

This Saturday, of course, is the yearly Maroon and White spring game for Texas A&M football. Williams will doubtless get a front-row seat to all the action in Kyle Field, including what should be an impressive defensive unit under Mike Elko.

Though this will doubtless be a recruitment that runs right up until signing day, other Texas A&M commits are doing their part to bring Williams into the fold. Recent Aggie pledge Landon Rink chimed in on X (formerly Twitter):

Those who have already added their name to the 2025 Aggie class, such as Rink, who will be in College Station for the game will no doubt be in Williams's ear. Getting a guy like this in the boat would be huge—the Aggies aren't favored at the moment per any crystal ball or recruiting prediction, but it's early in the process, without a definite favorite here.

Still, getting Williams on campus (again) would be huge. Out of Ball High School in Galveston, Texas, he already has a connection with one of the all-time great Aggie players in Mike Evans, who also attended Ball.

This is the latest in a huge string of visitors that the Aggies have had over the course of the spring. I think they've had a five-star player on campus for more weekends than they haven't, which is a mind-boggling feat. Elko and company are laying a great foundation for this 2025 class—let's hope they can close some of these recruitments out sooner rather than later.
