Tracking Texas A&M football portal departures: Evan Stewart - Oregon

This is a departure that many felt would be a massive loss once the season gets into full swing.

Stewart was a dependable receiver for the Aggies, going for 38 grabs, 514 yards and two touchdowns last season. Not exactly five-star numbers in College Station, despite his lofty ranking. These were no doubt impacted by his spotty availability and Jimbo's offensive system, though.

In Oregon, though, most felt he would be an instant star. In the first game of the year, he only notched three receptions for 15 yards in a narrow win over the Idaho Vandals.

However, he was looked at in a crucial situation against Boise State in week two when it looked like the Broncos had some clear momentum in the second half. He caught five balls for 112 yards and a touchdown.

Don't be surprised if Dillon Gabriel develops a new on field relationship with Stewart. They can be weapons that can get the offense to where they want to go by December.
