Tracking Texas A&M football portal departures: Jardin Gilbert- LSU

Jardin Gilbert had an impressive sophomore season with Texas A&M but was cut short by injury during his junior season.

During his sophomore season, he finished with 61 total tackles and 38 solo tackles at safety. Those solo tackles were the second most on the team. His 10 starts made Aggie fans rest easily as a reliable player in the secondary.

Unfortunately, his junior year was cut short with a shoulder injury. He didn't have the chance to make an impact.

This is a mystery loss for the Aggies, but we can go out on a limb and say it's a pretty unfortunate loss.

Injuries happen, and sometimes, it may be the difference between someone staying, or someone using the incident as an excuse to find another squad.

The Aggies were on the short end of that stick.
