Texas A&M women's tennis set for National Championship bout with SEC rivals

Texas A&M women's tennis has relatively quietly made their way to an all-important matchup. The Aggies will face off against the Georgia Bulldogs for a national championship this evening at 6:30 PM CT.

The Aggies defeated Tennessee 4-1 to advance to this stage. They will face off against the Georgia Bulldogs for a chance at glory.

This kind of success is a continuation of the outstanding play that we've seen out of the Aggie women's tennis program for several years now. The Aggies are SEC regular season champions each of the last three years, and won the conference tourney in 2022.

You're always competing against top-line athletic programs in the SEC, no matter the sport, and it's no different in tennis. Case in point: both the semifinal game that the Aggies just won and the upcoming championship game itself are both against conference opponents.

Playing for a national championship in any sport is a huge deal, and the Aggies have a real shot to win this one after a stellar regular season. The national championship game will be streaming on ESPN+ beginning at 6:30 PM CT. Good luck, Ags!
