Texas A&M football 2025 schedule: who are the Aggies playing in 2025?

I know, I know: Texas A&M football hasn't even played a game in 2024 yet, let alone 2025. But it's never too early to look ahead, especially as we consider the changing face of college football going forward, and see what's coming down the pike for the Aggies.

At the moment, there are only four officially confirmed games for the Aggies for 2025—and that number may even decrease, for reasons that I will explain in this article. The four that are officially confirmed are all non-conference contests. I use the word "officially" very specifically here: there is one game that has been unofficially confirmed, which I will also speak about later on.

But for now, let's see who the Aggies have in the non-conference next year. Starting things off on August 30, the Aggies will begin the second year of the Mike Elko era against the UTSA Roadrunners. The following week, it will be an Aggie vs. Aggie matchup, as Utah State comes into Kyle for a rare game between the two schools. With A&M playing New Mexico State in 2024, that will make two straight years of the Maroon and White participating in an Aggie Bowl! Time to really prove that the nickname belongs to us.

The third week of the season will bring the first marquee matchup for A&M. The Aggies will make their way up to South Bend, Indiana, for the second half of their home-and-home with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. This will hopefully be a game where it is the Golden Domers looking for revenge, rather than the Aggies. The final non-conference game on the Aggies' slate at the moment is a late-season bout with the Tarleton State Texans, scheduled for November 29.

But what changes might be inbound for what we have confirmed at the moment? Let's examine that question.
